Back in the States, Mischa Barton was spotted making her way around Beverly Hills with her pet pooch Charlie on Friday afternoon (July 3).

Reportedly out for a business meeting, the former "OC" actress strolled about in a little denim outfit while enjoying the sunny summertime weather.

Prior to her trip back to California, Miss Barton spent a good deal of time in London - causing a bit of a stir during a night out at Whisky Mist just prior to leaving town.

According to the Daily Mail, Mischa was left a bit embarrassed after being booted out of the commode by a toilet attendant for "dragging a friend into the toilet stall with her."

Also forcing the attendant to knock repeatedly for taking too long during a solo bathroom break, a NY Daily News source tells: "Her mate was knocking to check she was feeling okay. When she came out of the cubicle she was complaining about people knocking on the door. She looked slightly worse for the wear as she attempted to apply her make-up."

She’s no stranger to the international party scene, and last night (June 30) Mischa Barton was spotted hitting up some London hot spots.

The “Oh in Ohio” hottie looked to be having a good time as she made her rounds in the English capital city, stopping by the Whisky Mist and Bungalow 8 nightclubs before calling it a night.

In related news, Mischa recently revealed that though she’s seen as an American actress, her roots are actually in the UK.

“I haven’t lived here since I was tiny, but my entire family is British and I’ve been raised as a Brit. My sister lives and works in London as a barrister, but nobody can get their head round the fact I’m anything but a Hollywood girl. In the US nobody thinks of me as American, and here, nobody believes I’m British.”

She continued, “When I lived in New York I tried really hard to ditch the British accent to fit in. I went to classes and everything. I ended up putting on this terrible ‘Nu Yawk’ accent and hid behind that for a while. Now I don’t try to hide it so much, but my accent slips all over the place. It’s a mess - I don’t sound like I’m from anywhere anymore.”

Mischa Barton prefers kissing girls.

The former 'O.C' actress said while she's open to performing kissing scenes, she prefers them to be between her and another girl, because it is less "tense" than kissing a man.

She said: "It's so much easier to kiss a girl. You're so much more relaxed filming than you are doing a guy and girl scene. You can relax and have a laugh about it, whereas if it's a man you have to kiss, the whole thing's a bit tense."

She added she finds it strange she keeps getting picked for roles that include lesbian scenes.

Mischa added: "I don't know why that keeps happening to me, but my scripts have a lot of girl-on-girl kissing. But if it's part of my character, that doesn't really annoy me.

"I did a film about Tatu, the Russian girl band, and that was interesting. This whole corrupt Russian music industry formed this fake lesbian band. It's an odd story but a fascinating one."

Making a promotional appearance in London, Mischa Barton stepped out for the launch of Harrods annual summer sale on Saturday (June 27).

Joined by the store's boss, Mohamed al-Fayed, the former "OC" starlet was decked out in a white micro mini dress as she took part in the day's festivities.

Aside from her Harrods duties, Miss Barton has recently been busy filming a pilot episode of the Ashton Kutcher produced show, "A Beautiful Life".

Co-starring Corbin Bleu and Elle Macpherson, the new TV program makes its big premiere on The CW on September 16 at 9PM ET/PT.
